Come On Parents; It's Cheap Labor

Photo Jan 29, 9 09 49 AM My 16 month old son LOVES to help with anything I am trying to do. No, don't try to give him play dishes or play cookware, he likes to belly up with the big kids and help. I am doing my best to exercise patience with him and just let him help as much as possible. He helps unload the dishwasher, mop the floor, dry the dishes, dust, and pick up toys. He is so good he even reminds me when I set a knife too close to him. He hands it to me like, "Um, hello lady. I don't think you meant to set that there." Whew. Thank goodness he's smart.

Here's a cute clip of him "mopping" the floor. I had to add music to it just to be silly! Or click here if the video doesn't show up.

I think the absolute best part of having a little helper is that I know the cleaning products I use are super safe. So when he gets bored and he sits down and sucks on the spray bottle, I don't have to panic and call Poison Control. Oh here for that story!

Shaklee cleaning products are made with corn and coconut surfactants. The PH levels are low and in the "safe to be in human contact" range. They are not only safe, they are effective. Check this popular 'pin' of mine out over on Pinterest. That was all cleaned up with some Shaklee and elbow grease.

You don't have to take my word for it. Here are two other little cuties helping their mommas out with the cleaning. Photo Jan 22, 10 15 46 AM Photo Jan 27, 9 24 18 AM

So, parents, this is a win win. You get to spend time with your kids, they learn some skills, and it's a worry free process because you are using SAFE products!! I know it's faster to just do it yourself, but come on. Let them help, just this once. Hey, they might even do a good enough job that you don't have to redo it. :)
