I've been meaning to share this recipe for awhile because I have found it so helpful when trying to give my little one some cough relief at night! There's nothing like waking up to the sound of your kid coughing. Do you go in there and try to help or do you ignore it and see if they stay sleeping? When my son has a cold/cough, I give him this before bed to help give him relief. I have found it works pretty well and I don't have to worry about finding a cough syrup that he can take (which isn't many because he's only three!).
I like this recipe because it pairs several natural cold relief herbs together too.
Honey: Has antioxidants that may help fend off cold bugs. Also helps coat throat.
Elderberry: may aid in reducing the symptoms associated with influenza (flu) and colds
Zinc: A component of over 70 different enzymes in the human body and is also involved in normal immune function
Echinacea: Used to fight against colds and flu due to its immune stimulatory effects.
