That's right, folks. Go ahead. Call me, Betty. Better Crocker that is. I decided to bake something today. From Pinterest. And it didn't suck. Pinterest is generally a big fat waste of time. You spend time pinning things you never make time or intend to actually do. I have a "I'm Hungry" board full of 230+ recipes. How many do think I've made?! Well, one, today. So I created a new board called "I Actually Made It and It Didn't Suck." You know, for no reason really other than to waste more time.
Anyway, let's talk about this goodness because if you know me at all you know I hate to cook. I hate to bake even more. And cleaning the kitchen 3+ times a day is by far the shittiest job ever. No seriously, I'd rather wipe shitty little butts than clean my kitchen one more time but I digress.
Let's talk about the three muffins I've eaten so far...wait...or is it four? They are damn good and it was my lunch.
Part of my cooking/baking issue is that I have a horrible time reading directions. I tend to start reading them but I just assume what the rest of the recipe says which results in a disaster. I'm missing ingredients or I don't do things in the right order or just make a big fast mess. It drives my husband nuts. I can't help it. This is not my thing.
But apparently muffins are my jam! I haven't made a muffin I didn't love. And while I was hoping that raspberry cream cheese muffins had REAL raspberries in them, I settled for the best jar of preserves I could find. I could have thrown a few real ones in there but let's not get crazy at the first attempt.
That above picture kills me. Here I am so high on life about these dang muffins, that I'm staging them up for you. When I should be cleaning the kitchen... see below...
To prove muffins are my thing, here's a random picture of some blueberry muffins I made in July of 2014. I never told you about them but the picture was still in Dropbox just waiting to be used. So here's it's debut.
Apparently I just like trying to take pictures of food in natural light during the day...
