God Moves

I feel like my posts have had a theme to them since I restarted this journey here. Be still, elevate your thinking, unrush yourself. Cause pause in your life, say no to some things, focus on today.

Maybe God is trying to hit home a message for me. Maybe He wants me to keep repeating it for you. I don't know. Just seems to be what everyone needs to hear.

Monday was a whirlwind of a day. If you are in any type of business with deadlines, you know how hectic it can get. How out of control it can feel. Like no matter what you do, you might still fall short. Monday was the last day of July and for the third month in a row, my only option was to fall to my knees and humbly come before the Lord and ask Him to show up. Show up for people. Show up for others. Show up for those who were hurting. Show up for those who felt joy.  Show up for the desperate. Show up for the victorious. I went to bed, later than normal, with hope in my heart that no matter how the evening shook out, God showed up.

And he did.

For the third month in a row.

Like He does every day.

Patiently waiting at your heart. To be there if you are hurting. To be there if you are joyful. To be there if you are desperate. To be there if you are victorious.

God is constantly on the move. He's moving your mountains. He's fighting your battles. He's answering your prayers - even if they aren't the answers you want. They are His answers and they make perfect sense if you stop and allow them to. And we are always commanded to do our part as well. To boldly show up and rejoice. To boldly show up and ask for His help - in small task or in large feat. We need to be on the move in the right ways, rest included.

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most -Hebrews 4:16 (NLT)

Boldly go before the throne! Ask what you need to ask. Pray what you need to pray. You are fully worthy of all His wondrous deeds! He is just waiting for you to ask. He knows our faults - and forgives them. He knows our sins - and blesses us anyway. And if you need further assurance that you are worthy of this boldness, look to the previous verse. Jesus get it. He gets us. He's been there. Faced the human trials. Faced the hardships. Faced the battles. Faced the joyful times and the sorrowful times. Through it all, He did not sin. He kept himself focused on His Father's will. Despite the roller coaster.

This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin -Hebrews 4:15 (NLT)

Like I said. I feel like my posts have a common theme. Maybe they are all the same just written a new way. Maybe it's what I need to write (I'm my own best critic). Or maybe it's what you need to hear. Either way, hang on. God moves for you.
