My Diet Weakness!

I'm such a beverage person. Maybe it's nine years in the industry that got me hooked but there's just something about not-so-good-for-you-bevies that makes me crumble. It's not just soda. I'm a coffee addict. Beer is my buddy. Wine for wellness? Yes, please. Anything. I can eat all day like a rockstar but when it comes to sticking to water? Forget it. Beverages are my diet weakness...

Angel and devil. Water or something bad for me. It's a constant battle!

I am writing this as I am currently fighting a beverage battle in my brain. There's soda upstairs, my son is napping well, I've already had coffee today, and I WANT one!!! But I'm only half way through my water goal so I must resist! Yes, I can be found pacing by the fridge. Yes, I have been known to have one in hand and then set it back down unopened. I KNOW what it's like to have that tug of war going on with yourself when you want to give in. I aim to hit eight servings of eight everyday when it comes to water. I don't go above and beyond that because just hitting the minimum is challenging enough for me. I don't love water. I have this handy water bottle because I only have to drink two of them to hit the 64oz. But sometimes... 

Sometimes, I want a soda. Real bad. I used to drink multiple sodas a day. Since staying home, I have weaned myself off from that habit, to one a day, to one a week, to one occasionally. I feel so much better NOT drinking it, but my tastebuds are the devil. The devil isn't going to win today. I am going to stay strong. I am going to finish my water. After all, it is Friday. I'll save my cheat for a beer later...
