Holli's Kitchen: Whole Wheat Banana Donuts

The donut pan - it started as an almost silly purchase. It was our 5 year wedding anniversary and I wanted to recreate a few things from our honeymoon to Chicago for our anniversary weekend at home w/ the kids. I ordered Garret's Popcorn to be shipped directly from Chicago for our movie night watching The Dark Knight. I planned to recreate one of our favorite meals from Portillo's - Italian beef sandwiches w/ fries and cheese sauce. And to top it all off, I was going to recreate what was our breakfast nearly every morning: Coffee & a donut from Dunkin Donuts. (keep in mind, our honeymoon was several years before I became passionate about my health, my family's health, and www.happymediumhealth.com!)
So, I bought some Dunkin Donuts coffee grounds and a donut pan. A silly donut pan. I could see Andy rolling his eyes when he got a look at it, but I didn't care. I would distract him w/ romantic remembrances of Dunkin Donut mornings.
I've had the donut pan for nearly a year and have made so many delicious donuts!! This weekend, the kids and I made Whole Wheat Baked Banana Donuts. Recipe found over on this blog.
